Featured Initiative: Hedla Neurological Rehabilitation

SLP’s founder, Lars Hedlund, suffered a stroke that changed the course of his life — and ultimately inspired the founding of Hedla, a neurological rehabilitation center in Almuñécar, Spain.

Today, Hedla Rehab provides intensive, individualized care for people recovering from stroke and other acquired brain injuries, built on the latest research in neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to rewire and recover through targeted training and enriched environments.

-          5 hours per day of structured therapy, tailored to each patient’s goals

-          Access to outdoor physical activity in a purpose-built therapeutic setting

-          Multidisciplinary programs rooted in clinical science and practical recovery

-          Founded by SLP’s leadership to directly address an unmet need in neurological rehab
